Antelope Valley Medical Center Launches HealthConnect
- Posted On:
Antelope Valley Medical Center has launched a new community newsletter designed to share helpful tips of how to stay healthy and active while keeping local residents up-to-date on the latest developments at the hospital.
"As the region’s only full-service acute-care hospital, we are committed to not only exceptional patient care but to communicating to the local families important matters pertaining to their good health and healthy lifestyle habits," said Hospital CEO John Rossfeld. "Antelope Valley Medical Center is currently engaged in a number of exciting initiatives that will benefit the community greatly, and HealthConnect is one way for us to tell this story."
Toward that end the inaugural issue of HealthConnect, which published this month, features an article on how to stay safe from the heat of summer along with information on the free skin cancer screening the hospital will be holding July 16 at the City of Hope Community Resource Center. The issue also includes articles on the proposed Medical Main Street, initiatives currently underway to enhance the patient experience at the hospital, and important information on cardiac care and the hospital’s nationally accredited Institute for Heart & Vascular Care.
HealthConnect, which will publish four times a year, is available on the hospital’s website at https://www.AVMC.org/About/CommunityNewsletter or in hard copy throughout the hospital campus. To receive the newsletter electronically or by mail, please contact marketing@AVMC.org.
