Free Mental Health Lecture: “From Panic to Power"
- Posted On:
Roger Girion, PhD, will present "From Panic to Power" on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) Community Resource Center, 44151 15th Street West in Lancaster. The free hour-long lecture will answer the following questions:
- What is fear?
- What is anxiety?
- How can you change our thinking and gain control?
- How can you convert panic to power?
- How can you avoid suffering in silence?
"Fear, anxiety and phobias can have debilitating effects, and yet people are often reluctant to talk about these challenges," said Dr. Girion, director of mental health services. "This presentation will help attendees define each of these terms and discover how to overcome them."
