Hospital pulses with support for heart health

Antelope Valley Medical Center celebrated American Heart Month Saturday by inviting women to receive free health screenings, hands-only CPR training and more at the fourth annual Women’s Heart Health Affair. More women die each year of heart disease than all cancers combined, and hospital staff used the event to inform women about their personal risk for heart disease and stroke.
