Hospital to Host Lecture on Tackling OCD

  • Posted On:

Roger Girion, PhD, will present “Tackling OCD” at 7 p.m. June 26 at the Antelope Valley Medical Center Community Resource Center, 44151 15th Street West in Lancaster. The free hour-long lecture will explain:

  • The impact OCD has on individuals and their families.
  • Common misperceptions about the condition.
  • Practical tools for coping with the symptoms.
  • Resources available to help you or a loved one find balance alongside OCD.

“About one in 40 adults in the U.S. have OCD, and the condition interferes with the daily lives of those who have it,” said Dr. Girion. “It is my hope that people who suffer from OCD come to the presentation and receive the coping skills needed to reclaim their lives.”
