AVMC Announces Renewed Contract with RestorixHealth for Outpatient Wound Care Services

(LANCASTER, Calif., December 8, 2022) — Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) is pleased to announce that it will continue its partnership with RestorixHealth® (RXH), the country’s pioneer and leader in comprehensive wound management programs. RXH brings more than 20 years of experience in managing more than 200 wound healing centers across the country and a state-of-the-art comprehensive approach that supports the wound healing process, allowing patients to resume their normal lifestyles.

Our local Comprehensive Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center is dedicated to optimizing outcomes and preventing lower limb loss in those patients with non-healing wounds. The approach to wound care is aggressive and comprehensive, coordinating traditional and advanced therapies and techniques that are proven to reduce healing time and improve healing rates.

The center is staffed with a multidisciplinary team of physicians along with nurses and technicians with advanced training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Integrating a team of wound care professionals optimizes patient care, while offering the most advanced healing options for hard to heal wounds.

We have also added hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO), a proven, Medicare-approved treatment to advance our program’s wound healing capability. With HBO therapy, patients receive 100 percent oxygen delivered under pressure. This pressure increases the oxygen in the blood and tissues and promotes healing. HBO has been proven to accelerate wound healing in patients with the following diagnoses:

• Diabetic ulcers

• Venous ulcers

• Pressure ulcers

• Surgical wounds

• Trauma wounds

• Arterial ulcers

• Radiation wounds

• Post-surgical flaps or grafts

• Crush injuries

• Other non-healing wounds
