Empowering the Community to Live Healthier Lives – AVMC to Host Wellness Expo

Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) has partnered with the Antelope Valley Mall to present its 2nd Antelope Valley Wellness Expo, a free community event offering health screenings, educational seminars, and more. Join us for an exciting day of wellness activities aimed at improving health and well-being for all ages.
The event is open to the entire community. Attendees can meet with healthcare professionals, participate in hands on activities, and learn about services available to enhance health and quality of life.
The event features interactive discussions on stroke education, men’s health, social and mental wellness, and women’s health. There is also a great opportunity for attendees to visit a free health screening area for cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose, body fat, and skin cancer screenings, as well as flu vaccines, eye exams, and HIV testing. To address the blood shortage, there will be a mobile blood drive located outside the front of the mall.
"Our goal is to create a healthier community by providing free, accessible resources for everyone," said Edward Mirzabegian, AVMC CEO. "At the Wellness Expo, we’re bringing together a range of health and wellness services under one roof, so that individuals and families can take meaningful steps toward improving their health."
Participating agencies include the City of Palmdale, City of Lancaster, City of Hope, Kaiser Permanente, Antelope Valley YMCA, High Desert Medical Group, OneLegacy, American Cancer Society, Bartz-Altadonna Community Health Center, Valleywide Dental, Antelope Valley Partners for Health, North LA Regional Center, Mental Health America of Los Angeles, and the You Are Enough Foundation, among others.
With a focus on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices, this event will provide valuable resources to promote long-term well-being.
