As a nationally recognized Comprehensive Community Cancer Center, Antelope Valley Medical Center offers cancer screenings, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship support. We are dedicated to guiding each patient and their families during cancer care and treatment. Our multidisciplinary team of medical and radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, diagnostic radiologists, oncology certified staff nurses, palliative care team, and other specialists collaborate to determine the best treatment course, resulting in improved patient care and better outcomes.

Patient Navigation in Cancer Care Program

To provide continued supportive services throughout their cancer journey, we offer patient navigation. This free program acts as a support system for cancer patients to improve their access to healthcare information, reduce the number of delayed and missed appointments, and increase the overall healthcare experience.

The patient navigation team can:

  • Guide you through the healthcare system
  • Help you fill out insurance forms
  • Help you find ways to pay for healthcare if you don’t have insurance
  • Direct you to healthcare services for further diagnosis and treatment
  • Direct you to local resources and support
  • Help you keep track of and find ways to get to your appointments
  • Help you get your questions answered
  • Help you find more information on healthcare
  • Provide emotional support
