24/7 Inpatient Pharmacy at Antelope Valley Medical Center

When you need prescriptions while staying as an inpatient at Antelope Valley Medical Center or the Women & Infant Pavilion, our skilled pharmacist can meet your needs. They have the drug information expertise and can compound patient-specific drug mixtures for each patient that needs them. Our pharmacists include several specialists, such as those who are familiar with emergency medicine, critical care, neonatal/pediatrics, infectious disease, pain management, and informatics.

Pharmacists are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team as the medication therapy experts. They participate in code strokes, code blues, intubations, trauma activations, critical care rounds, NICU rounds, and pediatric rounds. They ensure safe, effective use of medications and monitor adverse medication events and report medication errors in the event they take place. Our pharmacy also offers medication history service, where Pharmacists obtain best possible medication history for high-risk patients.
